The1st gallery presents the Kimono Series,a mixed-media painting, drawing, and digital art to create unique giclee prints.
The Japanese Kimono Robe appeals to me because it includes everyone and is owned and worn by all, rich or poor, no matter their social status or level of achievement. The kimono also, all the while, provided unique designs for every individual, giving a singular adornment for each person. These Kimonos celebrate the art of Aging Gracefully, encouraging the wearer and the viewer to see and realize the beauty and grace of the worn and aged surfaces lined with wear and enriching experiences.
